Eaglets Kettlesing Felliscliffe Primary School

Mrs Bowman is the class teacher for our Early Years children. In her team are Mrs Hemming and Miss Marcroft. Together, they provide play based learning for our nursery children which is focussed on the children's interests.

The children adore being outside in all weathers; making excellent use of the garden area and huge school field. They care beautifully for our Guinea Pig Fluffy Cookie, and they love a spot of gardening in the herb planters or strawberry patch. Best of all, are the much coveted ride on cars! In addition, there are also some dedicated sessions such as music making and yoga.

When our children are ready to move into Reception, play based learning doesn't stop. Here too, learning is lead from the children's interests. Outdoor areas can become dragon dens or garages. Water play, down child made courses, is great fun and digging for dinosaur bones a must! During the busy schedules, there is always a daily phonics, reading and maths session.
